Don’t rock the boat
Don’t slip and get pulled into the undertow
Don’t seek the shore if you’re not sure.
Don’t run from land because of a man.
I’m tossed and I’m thrown on the crests of the rolls. Clawing at ropes and I’m sailing alone. A tip of the bow and we’re broken somehow.
I’m climbing your stairs, I hear you yell you’re not there.
We’ve lost each other…
You’re the compass and I’m the map–we need each other to get back.
We’re tossed and we’re thrown on the oceans unknown. We’re hanged by the ropes, the fault isn’t mine alone and we’re lost in the undertow.
